Our History
Vedaang Yoga School is rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Himalayan tradition of Yoga.
The Himalayas have long been regarded as a sacred land of yogis, sages, and spiritual seekers. From this profound tradition emerged teachings that emphasize not only the physical practice of Yoga, but also breathing practices, meditation, self-discipline, awareness, and inner transformation, guiding the seeker towards a deeper connection with the Supreme Self.
Inspired by this ancient wisdom, Vedaang Yoga School carries forward the traditional approach to Yoga in Rishikesh, widely known as the “Yoga Capital of the World,” within a contemporary learning environment.
“The true essence of Yoga lies in the journey from the outer body to the inner self.”
Our teaching integrates the principles of Ashtanga Yoga, including Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Yogic Philosophy, and mindful living, with the aim of helping practitioners experience Yoga as a complete way of life rather than simply a physical exercise, and to begin their own Yogic journey.
At Vedaang, we believe that the true essence of Yoga lies in the journey from the outer body to the inner self. Our approach is guided by the timeless principles of the Himalayan Yogic tradition, inspired by the teachings and legacy of Swami Rama, while remaining accessible and relevant to modern practitioners.
